Test‑Time Scaling and Probabilistic Abduction

At inference time, the method applies test‑time scaling to adjust the SCM parameters based on the observed real‑world outcome. It then performs probabilistic abduction to generate multiple plausible counterfactual trajectories, each reflecting a different hypothetical user intent.

Empirical Evaluation on Wireless Network Control

The researchers evaluated CCG on a wireless network control scenario, where an LLM‑driven agent manages resource allocation. Results showed that the conformal sets captured the true counterfactual outcomes significantly more often than naive re‑execution, while also offering tighter uncertainty bounds.

Implications for Autonomous LLM Systems

By furnishing reliable counterfactual explanations, the framework can improve transparency and user trust in autonomous systems that rely on LLMs for decision making. It also opens avenues for post‑hoc debugging and policy refinement without requiring costly retraining of the underlying model.

Future Directions
